'American Idol' Scott McCreery may cover Taylor Swift

"American Idol" hopeful, Scott McCreery, is considering covering a Taylor Swift song for the televised singing competition. The country boy with a golden voice nailed Garth Brook's on Wednesday night, why not Taylor Swift?

"Maybe! Who knows? She's great, for sure! I might able to pull that out," he McCreery says. Scott has been winning fans since his "American Idol' audition. The 17-year-old surprised many with his vocal skills. "I thought Scott did an amazing job," said Kylie in Cleveland.

Many "Idol" fans are wondering if McCreery will stay true to his country roots throughout the competition, or if he'll change it up a bit. "I might change it up here and there but for the most part, I want to stay true to who I am," Scott revealed. Who he is has been working. All three of the judges were impressed by Scott's performance during Wednesday's show.

Were you impressed by Scott McCreery's version of Garth Brook's "The River?" Should he cover Taylor Swift? Cleveland fans can keep up with Scott McCreery on Twitter, for all the latest on his "American Idol" journey.
